02Day 2 — Guwahati – Bhalukpong
After breakfast, drive towards Bhalukpong, a picturesque town located on the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Surrounded by dense forests and the flowing Kameng River, Bhalukpong is known for its natural beauty and peaceful environment. Enjoy the scenic drive through lush landscapes and spend the evening relaxing amidst nature.
03Day 3 — Bhalukpong – Dirang
This morning, continue your journey to Dirang, a beautiful hill town nestled in the Eastern Himalayas. En route, admire breathtaking mountain scenery, charming villages, and cascading waterfalls. Upon arrival, explore the serene Dirang Valley, famous for its apple orchards, hot water springs, and traditional Monpa culture. The pleasant weather and stunning surroundings make Dirang a perfect retreat for nature lovers.
04Day 4 — Dirang – Tawang
After breakfast, proceed towards Tawang, one of the most spectacular destinations in Northeast India. The route takes you through the majestic Sela Pass, offering mesmerizing views of snow-capped mountains and alpine landscapes. Stop at the beautiful Sela Lake and visit the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial before continuing to Tawang. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the peaceful mountain ambiance.
05Day 5 — Tawang Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring the cultural and spiritual landmarks of Tawang. Visit the iconic Tawang Monastery, an important center of Buddhist learning and one of the largest monasteries in Asia. Later, visit the giant Buddha statue that overlooks the valley and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Continue to the Tawang War Memorial, which commemorates the bravery of Indian soldiers. The evening is free to explore local markets and experience the traditions of the Monpa community.
06Day 6 — Tawang Excursion
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to some of Tawang’s most scenic attractions. Visit the breathtaking Madhuri Lake, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes and crystal-clear waters. Subject to permit and weather conditions, you may also visit Bum La Pass near the Indo-China border. Return to Tawang in the evening and enjoy your final night in this enchanting Himalayan town.
07Day 7 — Tawang – Bomdila
Following breakfast, drive to Bomdila, a charming hill station known for its monasteries, apple orchards, and panoramic Himalayan views. Upon arrival, visit the peaceful Bomdila Monastery and spend time admiring the stunning mountain scenery. The cool climate and tranquil surroundings make Bomdila an ideal place to relax before concluding your Arunachal adventure.
08Day 8 — Bomdila – Guwahati Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati through picturesque valleys and forested hills. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Gujarat. As your journey comes to an end, take home unforgettable memories of Arunachal Pradesh’s snow-covered passes, ancient monasteries, pristine lakes, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, making this a truly remarkable travel experience.
