01Day 1 — Arrival in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong (100 km / 3 hrs)
Arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) or Railway Station where our Tour Crown representative will greet you. Proceed directly for a scenic drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Stop at the magnificent Umiam Lake (Barapani), a vast man-made reservoir famous for its scenic beauty and water sports. Check in to your hotel in Shillong. Evening free to explore the famous Police Bazar for local shopping and street food. Overnight stay at Shillong.
02Day 2 — Shillong Local Sightseeing
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Visit the beautiful Elephant Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by ferns. Head to Shillong Peak (Air Force Station) for a panoramic view of the entire city. Explore the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, a premier museum showcasing North East tribal history. Visit Lady Hydari Park and the Ward’s Lake for a leisurely evening walk. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
03Day 3 — Excursion to Cherrapunji (54 km / 2 hrs one way)
After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra), renowned for its heavy rainfall and living root bridges. Visit the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Explore the Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave well-lit for tourists. View the Seven Sisters Falls and the Eco Park which offers views of the Bangladeshi plains. Stop at Dwan Syiem View Point on the way back for breathtaking photos. Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
04Day 4 — Shillong to Guwahati Transfer & Sightseeing
Check out after breakfast and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple atop Nilachal Hill (Note: VIP passes recommended for quicker entry). Visit the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, a cultural institution depicting the artistic heritage of Assam. 05Day 5 — Departure from Guwahati
