Your day-wise itinerary
01Day 1 — Arrival at Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong (100 KM / 3-4 Hrs)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Proceed to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, often called the ‘Scotland of the East’. En route, visit Umiam Lake, a beautiful man-made reservoir surrounded by hills. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Shillong.
02Day 2 — Shillong – Cherrapunji Sightseeing
After breakfast, head to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. Explore major attractions: Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, and Thangkharang Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through misty roads and lush greenery. Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
03Day 3 — Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
After breakfast, depart for Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Visit the Living Root Bridge and walk through the beautifully maintained village lanes. Proceed to Dawki to see the stunning Umngot River, known for its crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a boat ride on the transparent river and visit the India-Bangladesh border. Return to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
04Day 4 — Shillong Local Sightseeing
Visit Shillong Peak for panoramic city views. Explore Elephant Falls, Lady Hydari Park, Ward’s Lake, and Don Bosco Museum. Stroll through Police Bazaar for local shopping and food. Return to the hotel for rest. Overnight stay in Shillong.
05Day 5 — Shillong – Guwahati Departure
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Guwahati. Optional: Visit Kamakhya Temple if time permits. Drop at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
